Come See Ziba Shirazi: Songwriter Through Revolution

Two weeks ago, I entered a zoom meeting with singer-songwriter Ziba Shirazi nervous and not knowing what to expect. Two hours later I found the time had flown by and I left not only with fascinating new information, but with an amazing new friend! Her name is Ziba Shirazi, and she wears many hats. From poet to singer to songwriter to musician, Ziba is an incredibly talented and creative individual who has overcome what to some may be insurmountable obstacles to share her voice with the world. She describes herself as "the first Iranian female singer-songwriter" and created a unique performance called "Story and Song" in which she retells and sings the stories of iranian immigrants after the 1979 Islamic Revolution.
