ORIGINAL BOOK RELEASE: "The Brave Women of Iran" by Stella Saleh

After many months of preparation, my original book, "The Brave Women of Iran" has now been released and is available digitally for free on this website! It will soon be published on Amazon as well and available for purchase in the next few weeks. This book celebrates the achievements of notable Iranian women ranging from the eighteen hundreds to modern day. I decided to write the book while following developments of the Woman, Life, Freedom movement. I recognized that while influential Western women are often celebrated today in books, the same cannot be said for Iranian women. This book recognizes the accomplishments of a few notable Iranian women and how they persevered despite the limitations of their society.

The book is dedicated to my grandmother Sheila Saleh. She is a powerful and intelligent Iranian woman who has been instrumental to my Farsi learning. Sheila inspires me with her confidence and knowledge in so many fields. She reviewed each of the Persian translations for this book and her help was essential to creating the book.

There are so many incredible Iranian women but I selected only 13 to write about. While I could never write about all of them, I hope that this book highlights the capabilities and achievements of Iranain women as a people against all odds.
